Online Education Program
In partnership with the Fire & Emergency Training Network (FETN), the SFPA is pleased to provide high quality EMS education that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Now members can complete their recertification or license renewal by attending challenging yet fun courses in San Francisco, Fremont, San Jose or Sausalito; complete online courses in up-to-date, workplace relevant topics; or both!
When lives are at stake, Fire & Emergency Services training from Fire and Emergency Training Network (FETN) makes every moment count. Through distance-learning courseware, we ensure that critical training keeps fire and EMS certifications current, to help make sure emergency response personnel return safely after every call.
PULSE™ - Emergency Medical Update is a monthly EMS continuing education subscription service targeted to Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians. The courses provide Paramedics and EMTs with continuing educational units for annual re-certification. Each course is CECBEMS-approved and accepted by the National Registry as part of the re-registration process.
PULSE™ - EMU is the flagship EMS training offering of FETN and is
approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical
Services (CECBEMS).
Each PULSE™ course:
• provides two continuing education units toward annual re-certification.
• is designed with a progressive learning structure starting from
basic BLS/EMT topics and building to advanced ALS/EMT-P.
• meets current DOT standards.
Selected PULSE™ courses are also valid for Continuing Nurses Education (CNE) credit provided by Trinity Healthforce Learning, an accredited provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
The SFPA is providing a special discount to the first 50 registrants - $75 for an annual subscription for members, $99 for nonmembers.
