Welcome to the SFPA
Welcome to the San Francisco Paramedic Association, Northern California's first choice for quality emergency care education!
Established in 1986, the San Francisco Paramedic Association's mission is to improve the delivery of emergency medical services in the San Francisco Bay Area. We strive to meet our mission through education, training and community awareness.
The SFPA is dedicated to providing up-to-date, emergency health care classes to both the public and professional health care communities.
Our goal is to provide an enjoyable, but challenging, hands-on interactive learning atmosphere to help prepare students for any possible medical emergency.

Our class offerings include Basic Life Support/CPR, AED/Emergency Care, First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Dysrythmia Recognition and Cardiac Pharmacology, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Providers (PEPP), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and 12-Lead ECG Interpretation. Check out all of our classes in the Class Description section under the Classes/Events link above.
The San Francisco Paramedic Association is also a resource to the Emergency Medical Service community in the nine Bay Area counties, providing a voice for its members who are professional pre-hospital care providers, as well as a biannual conference and free or low-cost continuing education to its members.
SFPA classes are taught by experienced health care professionals, who combine interactive and fun-filled instructional techniques to ensure that students are able to retain the skill-intensive training.
Our classes can also be customized to fit the needs of interested organizations. Please contact us for more information.
